This site is dedicated to the birds of the Pacific Northwest… and beyond.   The site showcases many of my photos and observations relating to birds and occasionally other aspects of nature.  While many of the photos will have been taken in my own yard (Anacortes, WA), there will be others taken in Skagit County (WA) and on trips throughout the western US.

My wife and I maintain our surroundings to attract birds, offering water, food, and safe shelter.  I’ve landscaped the yard specifically for bird photography and will be happy to share my ideas for habitat enrichment and answer any questions you might have.
